Before I got the 9” I had gotten comfortable with the 11”, although when you switch to 9” you do really feel how much lighter it is. Going back to 11” you get used to it quickly and you can go a long time without fatigue or wrist pain. I just got the coil centering device , looking forward to seeing if it feels better to swing.
WILL BE WAITING for your REPORT !!!

So ive been gone from Treasurenet for a while and havent been detecting much due to work and other personal obligations... However, i am back and looking to buy a new machine. I have used a borrowed Equinox some and i personally thought it was my choice until i started watching videos and reading about the new D2. So my question is does anyone regret buying the D2? Also, does most everyone agree that this is the better relic machine over the Equinox? I want/need a machine that i can use for most things....relics, parks and even some occasional beach hunts. I have sold off most of my detectors so hoping to buy one to "do all" for now.... Thanks.
My personal opinion is to get the Deus II. I do not at all regret buying the Deus 2 which I purchased February of this year. I had the original Deus for a year prior and was reading all the good things about the Deus 2 on the forms from people in Europe last year before the US market started receiving shipments. I’ve only been using the machine for 4 months. But have made some excellent recoveries in this time; a regiment hat letter “B” in heavy iron that took me about 20 minutes to recover at a depth of approximately 6 inches; a seated 1838 dime in heavy aluminum, and my 3rd US Federal Brest plate at a depth of 16 inches that was a mere whisper that my two buddies Deus original detectors never heard . I do believe the Deus 2 is better in depth and in iron separation.

I have had my Deus 2 since June and have literally been making good finds with it since June. I got the 9" coil because i knew until fall i would be limited to hunting yards since most fields have corn or other crops in them...i figured to purchase the 11" by now but they are still not available. The 9" has proven to be just as great at seperating as id hoped and the depth of this coil is impressive. I have had one of the best summers of my life detecting with finds including coins, relics and jewelry. I also have the ORX as a back up and is also a great little machine for the money. ITs primary problem when compared to the D2 is the awful target ID at depth. Believe i may just purchase a deus 2 light with the 11" coil and swap my remote back and fourth between them.

Try them out before you BUY !! do not buy one then find out how unhappy you are with it
Good advice, if you can do it. But I'm in a major metropolitan area and still can't really try them out, other than turning the machine on in the store.

The Deus II is a better performing machine than the Equinox and Legend ...How do I know that ? Go look at my Youtube channel....
I agree with Terry ..I can't believe I just said that .....If its not a Deus II then its a Legend...
I think one of my favorite Calabash videos...is the one where you throw the Equinox 800 on the ground out of disgust 😆 (leak problems, multiple replacements, etc.)
My other funny fav...Calabash discussing some technical aspect of a machine...and someone nearby ALWAYS fires up that dreaded lawn mower! Doesn't that fella know that your over here tryin' to shoot a you-tube video?!? lol

If I had more tech abilities I would have that throwing moment on a loop.
Just to play it when life is-well needs a little pick me up moment.:laughing7:
It seriously brings a smile to my face just thinking about it.

I was a Minelab man for many years; etrac, Excal, CTX, Equinox and Vanquish. But then I bought the Deus 2 and never looked back.
Minelab Equinox is an excellent detector but the Deus 2 is superior in my judgement….more capable in every aspect and better build quality.
Just the view from my foxhole.
This is a great post! Almost word for word the feedback I get from my customers after buying the XP DEUS II from us.

I personally like the lightness of a 2-pound machine. I can swing it much longer and enjoy hunting more.

You can add my feedback to that list, Bart. I love mine.
