I was down in Cañon City, Colorado today and took these as I headed home via Colorado highway 9 across the high plains of South Park. The day was mostly overcast clouds, but not to cold and not a lot of traffic either, until I got to the Denver metro and then the drive becomes a bit arduous. Overall it was a nice full day.

I saw a lot of mule deer on the drive also, but gone are are the days of the Grizzlies that once roamed the great park. Some time ago I read about the last holding out Griz they called Old Mose. I wish they'd put up a monument to that old legend, like they did in Bemidji Minnesota for Lobo the wolf that I use to see when we'd go fishing up there. The buffalo are kinda wild and have a lot of room to roam, but I believe they're privately owned by ranchers. I know they been out there since the early 1980s

I've heard there is Ample Parking day or night, people spouting "Howdy Neighbor!"

Thats food for a year, and some nice clothing.

"Oh my god, they killed Kenny!"

When crossing the western plains, my favorite pastime is counting the antelope. TTC

"Oh my god, they killed Kenny!"

In case the reference to "Oh my god, they killed Kenny!” is a mystery to you, there is an cartoon, geared toward young adults called ‘South Park” about semi-foul mouth grade-school kids in the small Northern Colorado town of South Park.
In almost every 1/2 hour show the kid named Kenny is killed. Then one boy says "Oh my god, they killed Kenny!” and another kid in the group says “You Bas***ds!”. Then in the next episode Kenny is back without harm.

counting is wonderful!

tokameel, it appears Tamrock is still hooked on the preschool shows.

South Park and Beavis & Butthead have successfully taught more english in Europe than any school. Heck I purchased my son a Towley t-shirt in the Ghan at a down town market in Kabul. Even then Ghani vendor could say very clear in english "wanna get hi".
