Couple Whatsits from a short hunt today

I was in some woods today where ATVs and moutain bikes go. Found a bit of clad 1960's and up. Found these two items:

1.) Appears to be a brass bottle cap on a hinge.The hinge is connected to what appears to be analuminum ring.

2.) Appears to be brass.....

Size reference please.

1st piece: Don't see the aluminum ring. Could it all be brass?

first item apears to be an old bottle cap, clip over type. Second item I have no clue.

Item 1 looks like at least 100yrs worth of patina anyway

Here are a few new pics of the bootle cap thingy. Again, the cap appears to be brass, the ring that I suspect would be on a bottle appears to be aluminum, and it has an iron pin through the hinge.

%100 positive your "bottlecap",item is a German pipe bowl cover.I find them all the time in 1850's camps.
