Creek hunt 02-10-2009

I got out today to a creek that was very dirty but I managed to pull out a couple decent points.I know this creek needs a good rain to flush all the leaves downstream.This is only the third time I have walked this creek.So I have my my work cut out for me as far as finding the hot spots in the creek but I am getting it narrowed down.Next time I go it will be ready for me to walk it from start to finish which is about four miles 2 down 2 up.There is more to be found but like I said it is so dirty makes it hard to see the flint

hey was looking at your post,and was wondering in the third pic in the upper right hand corner looks like a piece of hemetite that is worked into a square or dimond shape? hard to tell but sure looks like it. anybody else notice that or am i seeing things? found a few in creeks like it. just wondering? great finds!!!!!

A good outing indeed. I simply have not ever enjoyed that kind of success creek walking out here in Western Oklahoma. Seeing those photos sure makes me want to get back out and make another run at it. I wish I had the discipline to photo my finds before handling them. Excellent job.
