CRISPINS CRITTERS

While making keys today for a "recovery" tow company, I talked to buddy about auto auctions that the vehicles were to be sent,
I asked about 5 speed trucks they may have going to the auction. He mentioned a Ford F-150. I said, "Nah. I'm looking for a smaller 5 speed."

He said that he has an Isuzu that he personally owns. And might want to sell.
I said, "Tell me more...."

It sounds interesting and the price seems right....
I just talked with my Landlord,
THE BEST LANDLORD EVEH!

And he is willing to meet me to look at the truck tomorrow evening!

Now, granted, I do not know the specific model and engine size at this time, that's why I want my Friend, my Landlord, to meet when I see the truck.
He can provide important variables of options as they relate to price....

I'll certainly take pictures! :icon_thumright:

Best,

Scott

Any stories about Isuzu's?

I understand that they are similar to Chevy's....

I guess I didn't blow my chances with Zippy, because this was in my email box tonight when I got home:

You're on Fire!
Your application for Locksmith at Polytechnikey, LLC dba City Lock was just viewed for a THIRD time. Only 7% of applications are viewed 3 times which means you're likely being considered actively. Nice!

Anyone know something about "Zip Recruiter" that I should know?
:dontknow:

Here's a little bit of my "Introduction."

As a locksmith.
If one knows locksmithing, one should know of my skills...

---------------------

I have worked as a locksmith for the last 10 years.
I know about;
IC cores, master keying, safes, safe deposit boxes, installations of residential and commercial hardware, automotive key generation, high security, "chips," "VATS," "Flashing" a system, making keys for motorcycles, boats, heavy equipment, etc and auto, residential and commercial lockouts.
I not only have many of the tools to perform these tasks but have designed and utilized my own tools for specialty applications.

I am looking to relocate in the near future to pursue an academic Bachelors Degree from the University.

A thought just occurred to me....

Bear with me, Friends.....

I must find the correct placement in my library for 4 books that I have read for the third or fourth time.
One was Carl Sandberg.....Volume 2.

IMG_1259.JPG
Yeah. I've already read the next two volumes, but eagerly open the next one again!

Yep.
Dewey Decimal System.
I was always a "Library assistant" from first grade on....

THAT will win you Friends....:censored:

Anywhich,

Since I'm soon to move and will have to liquidate my library,

I was wondering...

What should I keep?

OF course the first editions and the hand signed rare copies, ummm...anyway...8-)

What would you keep, say, if you could only take 3 books, on a 3 hour tour? A 3 hour tour.....

Best,

Scott

PS.
Number one on my list is a book that I do not have:
"The Complete Works of Shakespeare."

And,

What is Scotty's batting average when it comes to buying vehicles?

"Well, he's right smart about locks. I'd bet that he could...never mind..."

In all of my searching for a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Colorado University,
I can only find Doctorate Programs....:icon_scratch:

And the Boulder Locksmith job has hit my "back burner."

The "third wheel," Zippy, will surely want a slice of "bread" somewhere....

So,
That being said,

It looks like a trip to my mountains tomorrow and Saturday is right on Time.

Got to regroup.
No Colorado mountains. Just yet....

So, what now?

Oh!

I just remembered my final PowerPoint Presentation and written Thesis for my ARC/GIS Course.

It involved PTSD VA Centers in the Southeast.

How about that!

Looks like I'll take some college notes with me this weekend.

Couldn't get lobster(surf), so I settled with another round of "turf."

I'm supposed to be careful this weekend with campfires, according to the Georgia DNR:

  • Campfire Restriction on Chattahoochee National Forest Date(s): Oct 14, 2016
A forest-wide fire restriction has been issued for the Chattahoochee National Forest from October 12 - December 31, 2016.
Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire or campfire outside of developed recreation areas is prohibited. Fires must be confined to receptacles designed for fire -- which are metal fire rings in developed campsites.
The potential for wildfire activity is very high across all of North Georgia where severe to exceptional drought conditions are being experienced.
Commercially available fuel stoves (camp stoves) are excluded from this restriction.
I'm just going to do my usual thing.
Perhaps I'll see my DNR Friends at my base camp.
I'll ask questions concerning the specifics.
I heard another report allowing "Fire rings."
I have no intention of making a fire at my base camp. 8-)

However....
After the 3-4 mile hike that I have in mind to reach an old campsite of mine,
I'm sure that no one will be anywhere close to tell me to put out my fire.
I really don't believe that even a rider on a horse could reach me.

Perhaps some DNR guy rappelling from a helicopter...:dontknow:

Hope All enjoy their weekend!

See y'all on the other side of the mountain, my Friends!

Best Wishes,

Scott
In addition to the College notes, I am planning on taking my guitar to work on other notes...

Joke for today - How do you make an elderly lady curse?

Get another one to yell bingo..........[emoji4]

madea+smart+gun.jpg

"And she ain't got no Bingo? I saw her come in. Yes. I know what she drive.
I saw her get out her car in the parkin' lot. Doan worry, Chile, I got this when Bingo is over."

(I post this as humor~not as an incentive to commit any crime...But, really?)

"SHE DIDN'T HAVE NO DAMN BINGO!" :laughing7:

Years ago, I used to provide transportation to the Bingo spots for my Grandmother and Aunt until they died.
There was Bingo EVERY night at either the Eagles, Knights of Columbus, the Elks, and the VFW.

Years later, my Mom and I would go occasionally.
We would go to the Vista Burger Restaurant before the starting time to avoid the overpriced food at the Bingo place.

We each played 10 cards and we agreed that we'd split if either of us won.

Neither of us ever won at Bingo, but we both won by spending time together! :icon_thumright:

Best,

Scott

My Friends know why I post this song....
When "pressure" builds...

This time tomorrow, DEEP in my mountains,
As deep as a tick on a Georgia coon hound in October,

I'll think of my Friends here at Treasurenet! :notworthy:

Universität Heidelberg

I don't see "why not..." :dontknow:

After all, I spent many Deutsche marks in Heidelberg in the 70's!
(mostly "In den Bäckereien, auf den Fleischmärkten und den Gasthäusern!")

PS.

If I had Tom's hat, within a year, a sepia-toned photograph of me would be the subject of wanted posters that I've heard tell of.

Up North around Kansas.

"I don't much feel like dying' in Kansas, Boys."
"Let's ride on....."It would look too much like I gave a damn to die here....."

The camping and hiking trip into the mountains this past weekend was of a great benefit to my mind.
I didn't work on guitar notes, but academic notes were extensively pored over about the ARC/GIS presentation concerning PTSD in my final course to receive my Associate's Degree. Among a few other considerations.....

View attachment 1374240
(example of one of the many maps that I created in my last course. And yes, I see the spelling mistake....)

http://www.va.gov/directory/guide/region.asp?ID=1007

Taking many notes from my past course's notes, relating to the current position in my life, while birds sang around me and the creek played it's endless melody in the background, I decided that I am looking to stay in the southeast.
Kansas is a far and wild bet at this point....
There is so much to co-ordinate for a move, as I've learned. Whether it is across the street or across the country...

First:
Does the University that I'm considering offer a BA in Psychology?
A Master's Degree?
A Doctorate?
Admission requirements? Credit transfers?
Honors Programs? Scholarships?
Research Grants?
What Does Scott need for a successful attempt at his Bachelor's Degree and more?

Psychology Major | Department of Psychology | University of South Carolina|

Second:
Is there a VA Center nearby that I can apply for an Internship while I continue my academics?
Preferably in a Psychology capacity or setting but I would consider all options...

Mental Health - Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VAMC

Third:
Are there Locksmiths in the area that I might apply to for employment?
Perhaps other trades that I have extensive experience of, such as; Printing, remodelling, maintenence, including apartments. Which leads to the next consideration...

http://acelockcolasc.com/

Fourth:
Where will I live?
In a refrigerator box under the bridge?
I'll never find a better Landlord than the one I have now.
I'm sure that I can work this issue out in short time.
After all, I DO have two tents and can camp at the lake...

Which brings us full circle of this post when I first mentioned how well this camping trip has helped to clarify things for me at this time.

Hope all had a Great Weekend!

Always,

My Best Wishes,

Scott

PS.

Are there any mountains in South Carolina?
I once briefly resided in North Augusta, SC about 35 years ago...
