CRISPINS CRITTERS

Boy, oh, boy!

A wall will be built, America will again be a leader in the world and Veterans will receive the care that they have certainly earned!........

I fall to my knees and praise the sacrifices of my fellow Vets to have given me the hope for a Conservative path for some time ahead....

{And, I weep. With Joy!}

And, a certain feeling that I have is that, ummmm....

Somebody may eventually end up in the pokey.

I won't mention her name, but...

Huh?

Too much politics?

OK.

I'll stop.

My Best Wishes for

AMERICA!

Ain't over till it's over.
Still, no cakewalk either way.
Very disappointed with my state( still uncalled but craphole area votes still coming in).

Rural vs city seems quite a factor, numbers wise/popular vote don't win it alone though ,electoral votes do.

My God, Man!

Haven't you watched the Gizzard of Woz?

The witch wasn't burned!
A bucket of water destroyed her.

I have done studies of Salem and such, and I have found no credible sources of a "witch burning."

Hangings?

Yeah.

I think about 22-26, without consulting my notes....:icon_scratch:

Either way,
I'd love to explore the idea further....

Now that it is certain what America's choice is,
It is now time for all Americans to come together as one Nation, one People, one goal, one Voice.

And that voice shall shout from coast to coast, through out the valley and over every mountain,
That America is the "Land of the Free, And the Home of the Brave!"

LET FREEDOM RING!

I now prepare for sleep again, though tonight I will sleep in my warm bed after giving thanks to my fellow Vets for the opportunity to have given my voice.

In the morning, I shall awaken to a new world of a change and freshness of how things should be.
After the swamp is drained.

Does this mean Constitutional amendments limiting terms of office?
Somewhat akin to the 22nd amendment?

Best,

Scott

WOW!

While I was searching for something,
(Yes, I spend a great deal of my time searching for different things....)
I found something else that I haven't seen for over 10 years!

Packed away in a long forgotten box in the corner, I found something that is lightweight, easy to put in my ruck, taking up little space and of therapeutic value.

I'm modifying my ruck now for the weekend trip I'm planning.
Things like the season, the particular hike that I plan and the item.

"What is that item?" you may ask.....

It is a project that my Mom told me to explore.

She said that it will help with hand and eye coordination. It will give you patience.
It will give you quiet time, time to yourself to think of who you are and what you can become.
It is counted cross stitch.

It appears that it has picked up a stain at the right side of the hoop....

Woolite?

I have a rose pattern for the center once I finish the border.

Hope all have a GREAT WEEKEND!

Best Wishes,

Scott

Having just put in an abnormally hard day at work, I came home and took a shower...it occurred to me that I'm changing!!!!
Lol, I'm realizing I'm getting older, now I'm not old by any means but I'm also not a kid any longer (even though I still look like a kid!) hahaha.
I chose some tea for a drink after my shower (usually would opt for soda) my music choices (according to my wife) are mellow and old mannish, I'm becoming less tolerant of loud and repetitive noises (still love the sound of a Cummins diesel and American V8 though!) and I just generally am slowing down (perhaps my knee injury and beginning arthritis is part of this?).

Perhaps the most disturbing part of all this is I've been reflecting on long ongoing extended family problems and realizing they will end tragically, along with having thoughts often of the passing of time and dreading my own demise. I guess all of us start to feel this at some point and must find a way to be at peace with it...

Dude! It's not a full moon yet! Just enough to light a mountain trail!
(Wolf Pack reference....)

After a particularly bad day, My preference is a double gin and tonic,
Shaken or stirred, it matters not. The musical ambience?
Thelonious and John.
Soft to Medium in volume.....

Best Wishes, Friend!

Ah!

Early tomorrow morning I'll begin an awesome journey deep into my mountains.

To a campsite that I haven't been to for at least 3 years.

I still know the way.
Even at night. No compass or map needed....
Only about 2 more miles ahead. Mostly vertical...

The waterfalls of the campsite in my memory are about to come to me once again.
Yes, I'll post pics and video upon my return.

Some words...

"Waterfalls"

A lonely mother gazing out of her window
Staring at a son that she just can't touch
If at any time he's in a jam she'll be by his side
But he doesn't realize he hurts her so much

But all the praying just ain't helping at all
'Cause he can't seem to keep his self out of trouble
So he goes out and he makes his money the best way he knows how
Another body laying cold in the gutter
Listen to me

[Chorus:]
Don't go chasing waterfalls
Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to
I know that you're gonna have it your way or nothing at all
But I think you're moving too fast

Little precious has a natural obsession
For temptation but he just can't see
She gives him loving that his body can't handle
But all he can say is "Baby, it's good to me."

One day he goes and takes a glimpse in the mirror
But he doesn't recognize his own face
His health is fading and he doesn't know why
Three letters took him to his final resting place
Y'all don't hear me

[Chorus (2x)]

Come on

I seen a rainbow yesterday
But too many storms have come and gone
Leavin' a trace of not one God-given ray
Is it because my life is ten shades of gray
I pray all ten fade away
Seldom praise Him for the sunny days

And like His promise is true
Only my faith can undo
The many chances I blew
To bring my life to anew
Clear blue and unconditional skies
Have dried the tears from my eyes
No more lonely cries

My only bleedin' hope
Is for the folk who can't cope
With such an endurin' pain
That it keeps 'em in the pourin' rain
Who's to blame
For tootin' 'caine into your own vein
What a shame
You shoot and aim for someone else's brain
You claim the insane
And name this day in time
For fallin' prey to crime
I say the system got you victim to your own mind
Dreams are hopeless aspirations
In hopes of comin' true
Believe in yourself
The rest is up to me and you

[Chorus (2x)]

I'll arrive at my usual campsite, set up my "Base Camp,"

And then,

Scotty's "somewhere over the Mountains..."

(AH! Lyrics! Much more important that volume....)

I today purchased a new 9 volt battery to work with some fine grade steel wool and wood shavings, possibly to start my next campfire for my dinner....Let's see how that works out, shall we?

Heh, Heh.
Y'all KNOW how that will work out....

See Y'all there!
On My side of the mountain!

Best,

Scott

Ummm...
Whats for dinner?

Dunno. You catch it, kill it, clean it, I'll cook it! :tongue3:
Tastes alot like chicken, don't it?
I have the right seasonings and spices.....

Old fishing hunting former co- worker friend been having a rough go of it with cancer.
A Nam vet and things got advanced before treatment.
We've had some interesting calls when he was going through treatment...
Docs told him today they did not like his odds in the beginning but did not want to discourage him.
Today he got an all clear.
A second chance for awhile.
It goes fast.
Spend it wisely( ya-right) to be happy.
What's wrong with being happy?
Are you happy?
If not ,why? And get happy with whatcha got.
What/who we are is a perspective that can be changed ,to a point.

Cripes , I need to get back out in the field.........
