Hey Folks,

Work has been a beast this week. Ended up getting a stat CT scan of lungs today after repeat chest x-ray showed some kind of nodule. Ended up being artifact on the lateral view from overlapping aveloar pneumenitis. Anyway, did all that today while seeing 28 patients. Now they got me so jacked up on steroids I could play professional baseball. I told the wife I was too sick to help with the baby this weekend. She suggested I stay at a hotel to rest up and her parents come to help her. Taking her up on it. Staying at the Westin on the Bay. I'll have a good view while I sleep. Anyway, not too far away from the casino...so GIB and I may implement phase one of our plan. Hope everybody else is doing well. I've been following the thread but didn't have much energy to respond.

Actually, playing poker is very relaxing. Sit a chair, don't have to talk, free hot tea with honey. The rest of the casino would be a giant headache...oops, I've said to much.

Reminds me of a story when me an' my Pap used to hustle pool in Douglas and Jefferson County Kansas back in the late 70's....
Every small-time dive at the side of the road to wet your whistle that had a pool table.

Pap would act drunk and bet on the kid, (me, who had shown no skill in the previous games that I played)
and when bets were taken, I'd perform miracles.

We had a code phrase.
It was "Light's out,"
That meant that we needed to scram, quickly, and that I'd provide the "light's out" at the end of my pool cue to anyone trying to prevent our "exit."

Well... my best buddy from @ 1972 (community college) was a USN vet during the Vietnam War; he was stationed at SECRET Naval Base in Australia, LOVED the area a lot. He moved to NC/USA, traveled around India, got married & had two kids (with Hindu names) in Santa Fe, NM/USA; wife was also American, & was in India, too. I think they were still "active" (Secret Work - Intelligence); he split from his wife @ 1999, his mother died later that year; he came to see me (& my wife) at our VERY haunted house (rental) in Nov., 1999, expressing "fear" about 2000. Haven't seen nor heard from him since; MAY have gone "under-ground" or "under-cover". I DO miss him, tho... we could talk about "high philosophy", ESOTERIC things. Ah Well... enjoy the LUCK OF THE AUSSIES!
