Can anyone please help me ID this fancy cross I have found?

In the middle, one side has a horse and one side has a crown atop of another cross.

On both sides each cross end has a face and wings.

It is approx 1 1/2 inches tall and 1 inch wide.

...ENJOY...

Thanks in advance!! 20181123_194830.jpeg 20181123_194845.jpeg

I'm too chicken to use anything other than water and a tooth brush to clean my finds.

It's a Catholic cruciform (4 way) religious pendant. There are many, many variations.

freeze it in distilled water, let it soak in it first for a few hours, then freeze it, then let it thaw. should get the rest of that crud off.

Not sure what sort of metal it is, so I could not guide you any further than that.

But man that would make a killer christmass tree decoration.

Here is after. It may help if I had a better camera other than my phone. It looks better in my opinion. Thanks for the tip. 20181124_113434.jpeg 20181124_113553.jpeg 20181124_113559.jpeg

That’s very cool!! Next to axe heads, religious items are one of my favorite finds, I find a ton on the beaches of New England

Spyhunter, you are not catholic, arent you :-)

The "other cross" is a Monstrance, where the holy of holies is shown during certain events.
The "horse" is the lamp of god.

Insofar clearly a catholic religious item. May even be a pilgrims sign, yet I can not remember any pilgrim site that it would relate to.

I could go to Speyer one weekend or another if weather and circumstances are ok.
