I am honestly not familar with the coins rarity, but I would personally be quite excited if I found one of those old coins. So Please congratulate your dad on a cool find. :icon_thumleft:

Hello Cru, too bad you weren't able to hunt with your Dad today.
Looks like he did just fine without your help though mate! :occasion14:

I love the look of the small buckles that you guys always seem to find!
Dave

Yes, we get quite a few Spectacle Buckles, used for many purposes for a couple of hundreds years circa 1500-1700.

The first roman silver for the team came early! Nice one! Hopefully you get many more this year! Congrats to Crudad!

Why did it took you so long? It's almost the first 10 days of the year, and now you come up with the denarius, I was hoping for a little bit more speed...hahaha
Congrats on a rare silver!

Congrats on a rare silver!

To be honest the bronze/silver ratio was pretty good last year 785/19 & to get 1 already when we only have 1 bronze is a great surprise; 1/1. Unless we get another surprise it will be another 8 months until our next one. A lucky day for Dad, but he was well overdue a good find.

Well, we might find the occasional hammered coin over here, but there's no way we can compete with finds of that age. That is simply outstanding in my book. And I love that buckle in the lower right too. Please pass my congrats along to Cru'Dad.

He does read this, so it will be passed on.

He informed me that this is not usual Roman Mint, I can't remember the mint he told me, but it is a little more scarce.
