XP Deus II v0.6 with 11" Coil

Well after 4 days of detecting my young body needed a rest. Dad had done more detecting than usual this weekend because Crusadermum was away. She was due back tonight so Dad dropped off the finds for cleaning & rushed home. I think he might get half-hammered :D

Its my hobbie & he never usually goes out by himself, but this field has given him the bug - real bad.

2 hours -

17th century Lead black powder flask lid.
Roman Coin
Broken Medieval buckle
Livery Button
Star Find - Cut halfpenny (Short-cross) cica 1200s - Could be King John or Henry III - Moneyer ABEL of LONDON.

It amazes me how you guys know what that stuff is! I'm afraid if I found some of that stuff I'd probably throw it away. Glad you know what it is. :D

My Dad probably would as well if I wasn't there ;)

How Roman bronze coins do you have this year? How many Roman wilvers have you found this year?

Man, I'm cheesin' from ear to ear when I find an early 1800's coin. You guys dig up thousand year old stuff.

I gotta' retire and move over there.

Awesome. HH
Ken

This is the first year I have kept totals in honour of you guys:

Roman Bronze - 90
Roman Silver - 3

Roman silver are hard to find, used to average 1-2 a year. So as I have been saying for awhile this is going to be my best year. Keep watching theres more to come. A Roman brooch or 2 I would guess.

What was that line from the Life of Brian.....You lucky lucky B......... ;D

Fantastic finds - always a thrill to see what turns up next.
