So, does gold the size of dust exist in rock the size of ver small particle; that are so small they do not appear metallic.
I suck at panning.
I leached some ore; once with HCL and H2O2 and got yellow liquid.
Not as good.
I leached a second time with HCL and Bleach and think I got gold chloride.
I tried to melt.
I suck at melting gold.
It was a black oxidized lump that never really melted.
I am having the ore assayed now.
None of the rocks appear metallic.
Though I am getting precipitates that look. 18K - 23K in color.
When I crush the rock it regularly produces little pieces that squash flat and stick to the hammer from inside of hard rock.
They look like cornflakes but not very mettallic; red/yellow, yellow, and yellow/white.
Does gold dust appear in little clumps in rock?
Thanks.
