CT Copper and Draped Bust - Plus another bucket of early crockery

I had the morning free, so I decided to hunt the field I found an early site at on Tuesday. It was beautiful to swing in this weather. I got my mind set on gridding it slowly and digging iffy signals. It paid off today with two more coppers. They were both at 6". The one is a Draped Bust half cent and the other is definitely a CT copper. It is corroded badly, but I can see AUC on the edge of the coin. Not the best, but they are coppers and I will take them. I also got two buttons and two musketballs.

I also found close to another bucket of pottery shards as well. The square nails were dug in the center of where I believe the cabin stood. I may have to wait until after the farmer plows this area to see if I can find more. The stuff seems to be around the 6" mark. He is currently deep-plowing other parts of the field at a depth of 14-16".

I enjoyed the day again today and will seek permission for a new farm for the weekend. Thanks for viewing.

No day is ever a Skunk. I am just enjoying the time I get to spend in the fields. With two children soon, I have other priorities plus my career. Nice to see you still around Tnet, IP. You must get out!
