I just found out that our lalah sisters will miss the Arkansas City Arkalalah festival.It starts the 26th oct.Ark city has a population somewhere around 6ooo,they can't quite agree on it.In 1891 they had a temporary population of 150,000,how would you like to MD that area?.They were encamped in tents,preparing for the get-a-way.The Gov't said anyone wanting out of Kansas,line up and you can race for the border of Okla(this is better?) and claim some dust for a homesite.It does have some other interesting history that I'm sure RR will elaborate on.On rt 166,you'll pass a small town that was home to Emmitt Kelly,famous circus clown,Kansas has a lot of clowns in Topeka.

Let me make some quick amends to my jayhawk and sooner friends.They know I was being facetious.Kansas and Okla are just like every other state,they have some very beautiful scenery and some not quite as beautiful.No different than any where else.Now can I have my ice cream?

We here in OKLAHOMA do not elaborate on Jayhawks

And the Ark City parade is the biggest event anywhere around here they are totally packed at that time!
And if you go thru there stop at the park and ck out the train engine thats there Jeffs Granddad was the fireman on it!
