Arizona City - currently 90 with a low of 54 forecast......... :)

Of course in a couple of months, I'll have to go north to get out of the heat.

high of 63 here today and it is cloudy and breezy....warm weather sounds pretty good to me! ;D

Well I had to turn the heat back on! Its going to be in the 30's tonight ! ::)

Our weather report==
Gloomy Week Ahead...
A strong, wintry-type Pacific storm will be changing our weather for the worse this entire work week! Rain showers will begin to develop just over the next couple of hours. Tonight we can expect to see all rain as our lows will only be dropping to near 40 degrees. The winds will be a little bit breezy out of the south. Temperatures on Tuesday will be roughly 10-15 degrees below average. We will remain mostly cloudy, breezy, chilly, and continue to see on and off showers for the entire work week.
Meteorologist Ben Burkel

sheeesh, it doesn't sound good! lol

Well, you can tell WSD is a man of experience. As soon as he saw he was in trouble, he changed the subject. I agree though, SaltwaterMax is top notch to deal with.

Smart and SWEET DUDE! As a LaLa gal, I could never be mad at 'daddy!

Say some prayers for me..... I later this am after I do the bus ride ..... I think Im going to ER. On Sat I got a tick on the bottom of my toe, and I found it when it kept itching early Sun. am I pulled it off came off easy so I didn't think it was attached but, now foot is swollen an itches really bad sooooo .......

Hang in there MG. Ticks and buffalo gnats..........my body doesn't like them either! I never got a tick on the bottom of a toe though, how'd you do that? ??? We can't have any injuries for the start of CTH, only AFTER it starts!! Get better quick!

Steve ;D

I knew someone that got a tick on the bottom of the foot once. They gave her a prescription for antibiotics and a pair of shoes! You got my prayers, darlin',get it taken care of.(know anyone with a foot fetish?)Maybe a 'Frontline' treatment?

thanks for the offer on the garden replant, but already got it done yesterday. however I turned on the zone for the garden, and found out about 40 ft of that zone on the the back side of the garden, was split all to heck, guess I didn't get that line blown out good enough last fall. I've got the old line removed and I'll pick up replacement parts today and have it working by tonight
hope everybody is ready for some fun in the sun. it should be really nice

Prayers for you, Evy. Please let us know the outcome of your ER/Dr visit.

if you don't get all the tick out when you pull it, it can get infected. I take a match, light it, then blow it out and touch it to the tick, it usually backs out and doesn't even leave a mark

If your foot is swollen from a tick bite it probably is an allergic reaction. The various tick borne ailments don't appear that quick to my knowledge. But don't call me Dr. Monty just yet, just a guess. Dr.......uh, I mean just plain old
M :D nty!

TABLE 1
Ineffective or Dangerous Methods of Removing Ticks: What Not to Do
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do not use sharp forceps.

Do not crush, puncture, or squeeze the tick's body.

Do not apply substances such as petroleum jelly, gasoline, lidocaine (Xylocaine), etc., to the tick.

Do not apply heat with a match or hot nail.

Do not use a twisting or jerking motion to remove the tick.

Do not handle the tick with bare hands

I just got this off the Family Doctors page. It said to use blunt forceps and pull tick off grasping close to the head and pulling straight up and do not twist. Some of the methods above cause the tick to expel saliva into the bite area and cause infection. Applying an antiboitic to the area can help with any infection that may arise from the tick salivia.

Bottom line.....TICKS SUCK!!! Lol!!! Try not to get um! :headbang:
