Word of advice...take precautions, I know many of you are on FaceBook...DO NOT advertise you are going out of town/out of state/to CTH/or anything of that matter. You don't know who all reads FB and this is telling them "Hey, they're gone for 3-5 days, lets go rob." They may be your friends, but you don't know who their friends are.

I see that all the time on FB...so & so is going to the beach for the weekend, heading to the mountains for a few days of get-away. We all know that Bobby is in Mexico...Bran is @ CTH.

Well I'm finally at the airport and checked in! I got here VERY early to allow myself however much time I needed to get my detector stuff through security... but thankfully, it didn't take "that" long, though I had to unpack my coils from my machine. That really was no good, 'cause it took me forever to get it all packed in to begin with!!! lol But the upside... I ended up meeting a TSA guy who has a Garrett's machine and is flying up to Anchorage in two days to work for TSA for the next 5 months. He said he's taking his machine with him to do some detecting, and if I can get up that way, he'd love for us to go out detecting together! I gave him one of my metal detecting business cards to get in contact with me and check out T-Net. Looks like there are detectorists EVERYWHERE I go! See all ya guys & gals VERY soon!!!!

6:30 Fair building for meal.

I never tell anyone on FB I'm gone, just that I'm back and how much fun it was. No-one who actually knows my physical address there will share it and I have half a dozen neighbors here who watch out for each other's houses, most of them retired military vets.
And my wife has my shotgun ready for unwanted visitors and a semi-auto .40 cal as back-up. She grew up in the boonies of Missouri on a small horse farm, has a brother who's a Deputy Sheriff there and a sister that's a Prosecuting Attorney in central Florida, so the family is "familiar" with handling weapons............
Can't wait to get to Caldwell..........
