You guys are splendiferous... Is that a word? All the phone calls and emails have been soooo encouraging!
I know this is not the right forum for this, but I'm going to relate it here anyway. For those of you who know Dan, it's hard to imagine anything keeping him down or discouraging him. He is the highlight of humanity! It's truly a blessing to say that he went thru hell and God brought him out shining. Over a week ago they found a mass in his colon through a colonoscopy that was 7 years overdue. Several days later the pathology showed it to be beyond benign. Not cancer, not just benign, but some type of "plastic" condition. Nowhere near cancer. The doc was amazed. He apologized for alarming us; docs don't do that.
Today he went and had the mass removed, and those in the operating room were the same ones who were there when the mass was found. They couldn't believe the pathology report. One out of 500 have that outcome in that office. They all felt he was truly blessed. It looked, felt and should have been cancerous. It wasn't; not even close.
Now comes another blessing. He had to go have a cat scan after the mass was found in the colon to see (in the event it was cancerous) if it had spread. No spots on the liver or anything were found (no cancer)..... but ....
a mass was found on the right adrenal gland, which sits on top of the kidney. Now whoever in their right mind ever knew of such a thing!?? But he has to have an MRI in the morning to check it out.
One thing just led to another. amazing...
Bottom line, if you're over the age of 55, get the colonoscopy done. According to Dan, who has had 2 in the last 10 days, you get undressed, they say "roll over on your side," then the next thing you hear is "WAKE UP!"
Mine is scheduled for a week from Friday...
thank you all soooo much for your support!!!
