I have had a busy day well sorta LOL! It started out with Stan comming to help me with some paper work he even took me to lunch that was a great morning plus he was bearing gifts.... WSD thank=you! Darren an Rob thank you both so much I can not wait to show Jacob.

Hi Everyone, update on Dan: They have him in a medically-induced coma of sorts. Is on a vent and several tubes, 9 IV drips, and will probably be in ICU several more days. Good news, his lungs are clearing and he has no fever! Waiting now for the gut to wake up, which takes several days, then food begins, hopefully. Probably no discernible change until next week sometime. Keep us in your prayers!

Even though Dan is sedated,Noodle says he can hear what she says,just cannot talk.I told her to give him a message from all of us.The message is-"We guess you are going to milk this for all it's worth".

Noodle told me what he is sedated on and I have been in the same situation Dan is on a vent and trust me, he won't remember anything he hears. Not remembering is a GOOD thing when you are on a vent. Take it from someone who has cheated death before! Just keep him in your prayers, he needs it!! He is still in a very serious situation!

I knew he was in critical condition whether you told me or not cause I know!!! When I first starting waking up, I was surrounded by all kind of machines and drips going everywhere. I thought I had had brain surgury and it took me a day to be able to sorta raise my arm just a little to see if they had cut all my hair off my head. I had no idea how I got there or why I was there. I was messed up and I know what he will be going thru. Wait until he wakes up, in a couple of days after that PT will come to exercise him. When I first tried to get me out of bed, they had two big guys holding my arms and there was NO WAY I could have walked one foot. I asked them what happened to my body and they said a world class athelete could have gone thru what I did and would be in the same shape. For 2 or 3 months I felt like I weighted a ton and if I got down, it was really hard to get up. And remember I was in good shape when this started....this was what 8 days on the vent did to me...it'll be the same for Dan. He's got a long road ahead of himself learning to walk again and getting some tone to his muscles. It was 7 months before my employer would allow me to return to work. I had to get a doctors release and that is how long it took to get it and I exercised everyday hard. Anyway, I'm encouraged by you saying his lungs are clearing, he'll glow green at night with all the radiation he'll be getting from x-rays. Take care Brenda and ya'll are in my prayers!

OMG, I'm not gonna complain about my one arm a$$ anymore. Had to remove the big bandages yesterday then down to the gauge that was stuck...called DIL to help me cause he was complaining "don't touch my arm", "watch what you're doing", "do you know what you're doing?" 'you don't know what you're doing". I told my DIL (registered nurse in ER) about the scope holes being the size of a bullet wound, she said this is much bigger and she's seen a lot of bullets holes. Maybe CW bullet size is what the scope holes are. Anyway, next Tuesday, stitches come out, maybe they're stitch his mouth.

Tell your hurting husband he'll have braggin scars from the "bullet" holes in his shoulder. He'll be so cool when he heals up...nothing any better than a biker with cool scars!!!
He can make up a great story to tell how he got those "Easy Rider" scars! Thinking of ya'll too.....hang in there Judie!!!
