2009_09022011july0006.webp2009_09022011july0004.webp Found at a site that dates to colonial times. Thought it was silver, but have my doubts. Can anyone put an age bracket for me?

Looks like it may be plated pewter .. The twisted wire design dates it to the early to mid 1800's I think. I dug a twisted wire brooch that was dated to that time frame. Nice find!
