I detected an area with history (back to revolutionary war era) hoping to find a KG or some coin to get me into the 1700's club. I found the normal river trash along the bank and moved up into the tree line. I got a solid 67 signal on the at pro at 8". Dug down 7-8" into a slimy grey clayish layer and found a musket ball cut in half. I knew they were used for game pieces so was kinda excited. Re checked the hole with the garrett carrot and 2" away in the same hole was the other half! How cool is that! I have no idea if this is from the time frame I'm lookin for but still a wicked cool find in my book! Heres a pic of both pieces put together.... was a great day!
