I finally had some free time to detect a popular CW campsite here in Raleigh today. I'm not used to digging everything. I bought my AT PRO so I would not have to but I have heard that when at a CW camp you should dig all signals. I am glad I did. I found this nice bayonet. Not sure what kind it is but I am happy to have found it.

Nice find. Unless it is some odd ball European bayonet, it should be to an Austrian Lorenz. Congrats.

Very VERY nice find. The quads are quite unusual . . . Seems you have an edge. Four of them in fact!

Definitely Austrian Lorenz. I just finished doing electrolysis on one that I dug in Tennessee, and I also have a non-dug one, along with the rifle musket that it went on. A nice C.W. bayonet that was used by both sides during the War. Good job!

Great find. Just goes to show that no site is completely hunted out. Might have to re-visit it myself.

That's a great find!

SKY PIRATE NICE RELIC YOU GOT THERE .

Congrats and nice find. I live close to Dix campus and there often
Let me know if you want to hunt sometime

Triangle relics recovery club meets at the end of the month off ridge road. You should come out and bring it. The guys would love to see it.

Nice recovery and thanks for sharing it with us.
Some of the stuff you Civil War Relic Hunters find is truly educational for me.
Thanks for posting

Austrian for sure. Bet I missed that one at some point (hunted many of camps in and around Raleigh)
