Had a great hunt today at one of my favorite CW sites. Pulled my first carved bullet and it's a beauty. Looks like a chess piece pehaps. Also my first Walch pistol bullet and a Zouave button missing the back. Found in Central VA on private property with permission.

Sweet Finds!!!!
Soldier Carved lead is always a BIG Pleasure to dig. ( patina on that thing is A-OK)

Funny I was actually looking through one of my CW Bullet books earlier today , & took notice of the .31 cal Walch & The .41 cal , Lindsay ?? Bullets & thought Ill probably never see one of those dug.
Boy I was wrong.....The button is cool also.
Good Job

Thanks for all the comments. Regarding the button I agree given the fact that it was found in a civil war battlefield(private property with permission) and given the fact over 90 % of what I have dug on this battlefield is CW related I think chances are good that it is a Zouave. I also agree the Carved bullet is a great personal relic. Thanks fellas and happy hunting.
