Doug, that site is still yielding the artifacts. I see at least one more Spanish reale and a few coppas at that site.

Keep the fever high, man!

That lead soldier has to be from the early 20's--since it represents a WWI Doughboy--great find.

Good pictures.

Wouldn't that be funny if I come down for one hunt and get the "best" coin from the site?! ;D ;) ;D

Still, you are finding some nice keepers. Very sweet with the bullets and soldier.

Hey MM, at least your lead soldier is completely intact. I keep finding just the heads of soldiers or soldiers without legs!! LOL

Great finds.

I think your iron/brass piece is from a draft horse harness. the brass piece looks like where the reins came through.

The small, thin, brass buckle I'm 99% certain is a Kepi Buckle. Nice CW find there too!

Love the soldier! I've found pieces of a few, but nothing as intact as that one. Keep at it, and Bob's Reale might seem like a mere token!

Yes, I'm quoting myself LOL! I just wanted to underscore the fact that I have never found a kepi buckle--with all of the different CW spots I have hunted. Never. The last one found was recovered by Kindafoundabuckle. So--great find, buddy! I'd take that over a bullet anyday...well, except for a complete dropped Shaler :o

Now I'm gonna have to sue myself for copyright infringement. ;D
