Found this at a home built in 1880, though there may have been a cabin there before. It measures a little over 2" long and I think it is brass. A D-sharp symbol appears on one end (see 3rd picture). No other marks appear. Seems too big for a harmonica, but at one time I think a reed was attached at the 2 rivets. Searched on-line for Jew Harp, but didn't see any shaped like this. Any help IDing & dating is appreciated.

My first impression is a reed but maybe it’s an attachment point for a string?

Reed Organ. I tried to restore one once. You pump it with your feet. My brother still has it.

All, thanks for the inputs. Some more research shows these organs began to appear in the late 1700s and began to fall out of favor when electronic organs became popular in the 1930s. So asking for its age w/o any marks is a stretch, but probably late 1800s-early 1900s is a good estimate. Thanks again, will mark as SOLVED.
