4 hour water hunt today and I had to hang in there because all the goods came in the last 30 mins. Feeling discouraged after few early or midhunt targets I conciously slowed myself because I just know this spot is the goods (another river staircase down south) and out came a 1911 Penny, next a 1921 Penny so I get excited and it got better because the finds were thick and fast with old bullets, crusty oz clad, sinkers etc, then the tiny little band appeared and I assumed junk and from the pic I'd forgive you for thinking so too, but I've cleaned her up (easily the dirt just swiped off) and now I think it may even be 18ct because it is so yellow and weighs a healthy gram - I think an oldie - so I'll test - still have not purchased a kit , more coins then - DAD , 2.54g's 10K with tiny Ice chips - my second "K" hallmark this month - also has AAJ in side band. I've cleaned it also and it shines up a cracker - but the as found pics give an idea of how long it soaked. Stoked because I could hear more under there and will get back there again someday. Too many spots - NOT ENOUGH TIME!
