If not readily attracted to a magnet, it is probably specular hematite (specularite). C

Wet or dry it don't leave any color of a streak. Here is an other of the sample.

It looks like the same rock (mica schist) we picked up in New Mexico several years ago. Very heavy, some pink color. It had fairy crystals (crosses) and garnets in it.
