Daughter's front yard!!

Went down to our daughter's new house (1885),brought them some X-Mas decoration's since they just signed the paper's on Wed....We let them store all ther belonging's at the house until they found a place, just to let them save some money on storage.Anyway.....Started sweepin' the yard, this was the trade-off on the storage and the first dib's of swingin'....Found alot of nail's,a 42' wheat and some piece's of iron.I came across this piece down along the road....Look's like Bronze and Silver, any idea's....No marking's what so-ever??This was all in about 1/2 Hr.Can't wait to get back up....Little do they know is I tell them I didn't find anything,Until I bring them a shadow box/history of the house down the road. Can't wait to go back!!Thank's for lookin'.........HH!!

Re: Daughter's front yard!!

Awesome find Civilman! I would guesstimate mid to late 1800s, that bow resembles the bow on 1800s coins. That is an outstanding idea to make a shadow box of finds from the house yard, would add a great touch of history! Look forward to seeing it when you get there. HH, Mike
