As it had rained most the night & most of today we decided not to mess up the farmers drilled field but start on the only stubble field left. It will be our winter hunting ground but we started it today.

This field may take a few days for anything better to come off, others wouldn't bother but we have plenty of patience. ::)

2 Scrappies - helps the count.
1940 silver (50%) Sixpence
1813 token
1/2 Oz weight
Interesting copper corner piece, attached to leather for some reason :icon_scratch:

Good times are just around the corner, I feel it in my winter bones 8)

Others wouldn't do it? Why not? Not along the river? :icon_scratch:

Kirk

Middle of no-where. Needs lots of effort for very little reward.

Some nice finds indeed Crusader.
I love that token.
Congrats to you,

The token was my fav find as its a variant I don't have (until now) :)

Between this and your previous post your doing great

Is the six Pence British? If i understand you it`s correctly its silver?
I didn't think the British ever used silver in their coins unless the were collectors coins.

The silver in British coins stopped in 1947.

Wow Cru every time I search for something on this site I come across a message that I had not read! Now this one.
Nice finds although you are still messing around with the buttons... ONLY 4x, you must be losing your touch!
Nice silver and really nice token, both in great condition.

Say, at the bottom left of the first photo is a broken off piece of a bronze staff or something. I though you told me what it was but I forgot, I had found one also, can you tell me again what it used to be?
