Only had 2 hours of light to continue the hunt. (4 man hours).

Finally the systematic approach paid off, we have covered many acres & still have plenty to do, but a least we now have a Very Rare find;

(my best guess, as I have seen none similar)
Iron Age (Celtic) bronze mount of a Boar Head. Broken from a larger piece which I guess had two heads (in mirror image). The boar was a extremely popular Celtic icon, coming second only to the horse. Several Celtic coins have the boar, but this type of mount I have never seen. Could be a bucket mount?? Needs museum input to get to the bottom of this one. cica 100BC-50AD :o

Also a very damaged hammered penny of Elizabeth I 1580s
Livery button
Bag Seal
Possibly a Iron Age Spindal Whorl as its smaller than normal, very basic & very black.
and bits.....
