On day 2 which was the first day I joined Dad, I said in my post; "I'm not expecting much until day 5 (lets see if I'm right ;))" Prediction came true. 2 Hammered in a day plus the 2 Romans to me.

So 5 in 5 days, average 1 a day. Remember we only had 3 out of this field in 2 years & we are only half done. :)

Farmer drilled the field today, so its a bit flatter. I will rest tomorrow Dad may continue.

Edward I 1247-74
Henry III Cut 1/2 Penny
2 Lead tokens
1.5 Romans (very rare for our hammered to match our roman count & it has happened most days on this field)
A nice Button
Buckles

If they are dug items over 50 years old then I guess he ignored the Law on exporting them. It takes 3-4 weeks to get an export licence. Probably why he won't show you??

Great finds and congrats on the hammereds! Is that a gold plated thimble? The field was rough on that pewter button with the flower. HH, Mike
