Hey guys, got out with olddude today to take advantage of this terrific weather we had and we hit a couple spots today, the day started out with a lot of driving looking for that perfect spot. Originally I was 0 for 2 with both people saying no but at least they were nice about it and not mean!
Finally I got us in at a home built in 1900 from a nice older woman who only lives there in the summer, I did ok there getting one dateless buff and a couple wheats along with some relics and FINALLY! my first intact bell!, and yes it rings too!!
The owner gave us permission to hunt her other house across the street but way too grown in, maybe if they cut it but it was a no go so off to site #2 a real nice 86 year old guy gave us the go ahead and we both made out well at that site. I finally surpassed my goal of 50 silver on the year! silver 49 was the merc, silver #50 was the 1957 Canadian silver dime, and silver#51 was this uglier than sin sterling ring with the big ole junky plastic jewel on it lol. The band broke off that big ole chunk of bling! plus 23 wheats, wow that's the most wheats I got in a while!
also got some neat relics such as spoons, a thimble, a junior sherriff badge, a HUGE bullet and a live smaller bullet, a pocket knife, a compact, an AWESOME intact skeleton key, another key, a hem weight, piece of a pocket watch, and a nice tootsie car, all in all an awesome day in good company with a fellow hunter, Ill let him show his finds, thanks for looking and HH!!
oh and yes I do have video, itll be up tomorrow, Im running late for work lol!!!
