Days off finally

Nice to get a break from those 65 hour weeks and finally get two days off. And get out of Summit County away from the tourist circus that gets worse every year. Drove down to Salida and checked out the country. Snow on the ground down there but not as much as here, and a little warmer. I enjoy lookin at and talkin to people from all over the world but it is nice to sit quietly for an hour or so beside the Arkansas River and just listen to it.

Man!!! have I sure deposited a few gallons of Tamrock fluid behind that sign over the last 20 years... Another place seems to always be at Officers Gulch.

Nice photos! I just read another book on Pike's expedition. Hope you have been doing well. I've been absent for awhile.
