The stoneware bottles is a German mineral water bottle. Not rare or too valuable, but still neat to find. We also dug some local sodas and beers from this hole.

Are you sure that second one is a "mineral water bottle"? I bought mine, burried in the bottom of a "dollar box" at an auction. When I pulled it out, a man who had just walked up offered me $10.00 for it. When I refused, he told me it was an original German beer bottle, probably from Zoar Ohio, brought or made by the Zoarite seperatists.

I have just always assumed he knew what he was talking about. Here is a pic of mine....

They quite possibly used these containers for beer as well. They are foreign, so I don't find them often. Mine is debossed with Nasau Water in German. Research shows that this style bottle is considered a German mineral water bottle. The ones I've seen pictured on the internet were all labeled as mineral water bottles.
