Decided to drive around Washington DC the first Saturday after 9/11. It was Eerily quiet with no planes in the air and not many people sightseeing at the monuments.

My oldest son,Brian,was right across the street from the Pentagon when it happened there.

I was working at a dealership in Arlington, we could see the smoke rising from the Pentagon. I remember at that point we were all thinking, whats next?

I was out on my boat about 2 miles off shore Fire Island i could see all the smoke from the city skyline about 60 miles away and then the second tower fell you could always see the Twin Towers and the Empire State building i had no idea what happened until i got back to shore all cell phone communication was out and the Coast Guard station radio station,s jammed that,s a day no one will forget .
