I know I am breaking an unwritten rule, but I can,t go here this weekend anyway. Here is an email I got from a club member. Names were removed to protect the innocent. Coin Beach is right below Rehobeth, in the Delaware Seashore Park. This is a large area and can accommodate many THer's.

Xxxx just called to give me a beach update and he asked that I pass
it along.

Xxxx talked to X Xxxx who reports that he's been hunting on
Coin Beach with amazing results. He's found at least 40 Irish
pennies (some with different dates than those associated with the
Faithful Steward), 8 silver quarters, 5 silver dimes and some pieces
of jewelry. Y Yyyyy has found 8 or 9 Irish pennies plus several
large silver coins with "George" on them. After cleaning, Y Yyyyy
will be able to tell more about the dates and denominations of them
but they're probably English. Other people who have come into
TreasureQuest have reported similar finds.

If you'd like to check out this area for yourself, Xxxx advises that
you should cross the Indian River Bridge and park on the lot on the
northwest side of the road. Walk under the bridge to the beach and
head toward the area where the trees are. This is a long walk but
might produce good results. If you go, please let us know how you
make out.

Have a great weekend.

I am one of the people who hit coin beach when I can since I live a bit further away. My parents have been hitting that beach for years and I got the story from them. Signals are so much clearer on the beach then when you are relic hunting. It can definately spoil you. Look forward to reading about the finds from this great location for many more years. Happy hunting.

MNbeachrat,
No problem...I do see your side of it but in this case I just did not feel the the 'unwritten rule' applied....just my opinion...I could be wrong...lol.

I detect to have fun and relax. If I find something good it is just icing on the cake. I also have a soft spot for the T-Net members that were around when I joined a few years back so when I feel one of them is being 'attacked' I get a little protective.

I really enjoy the forum and like interacting with others that have the same passion for detecting as I do. I still learn something everytime I log on to the forum. Like today, I learned that if I find a site with great potential but all I keep finding is zinc cents then invite Ed to hunt the site with me then just follow behind him with my detector...

Happy hunting everyone

NJ

PS I would not mind finding one of those King Georges one day...lol

I agree with you Jersey on the relaxing thing. Most of us are still working for a living and have family's..so for us, a one day road trip is most any of us would have at hitting a Hot Spot. And really it's just a good excuse to get away relax & have some fun. Besides next replenishment we're all loading up in a van,,,

Great video...thanks for sharing. Those were some awsome finds.

Very professional and funny video. I wish you would give the location away. That is beach wider then Coin Beach, plenty room for us all. Be a sport where is it.

Sure :laughing7:
