Detector(s) used
Pocket dowsing L- Rods shown above. Whites Beach Comber, Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter II, Whites TM 808, Canon 350D EOS Digital Rebel XT DSLR Camera.
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I went dowsing this morning at our school play ground and found this. What is it? I don't know. It's not magnetic. I was hoping to dowse out a coin but found this instead.

My rods crossed four (4) times and three times my metal detector said yes, something was there. But do you think I could find what was causing my rods to cross and my metal detector to verify the existing target on the previous three (3) tries. NOT ON YOUR LIFE. It was only on the fourth time I was able to locate the target and even then it was after searching the spot for a long time. Also, this piece of metal is so small, I also missed it.

If dowsing did not work, I would not have been able to find this thing. If dowsing did not work, people in the past and present times would not use it as much as they have and do to find anything.

More finds coming soon. So enjoy.

Merry Christmas to all and a happy newyear or dowsing.

Les, that sounds like my luck a couple of times. A half dime kept moving seemed like. That was when I had a double eagle detector.
Then another time I located a Prussian coin, smaller than the half dime but it was also a lot of time to get it up in the daylight. That time I had a
Minelab XS, one of the first one's out. I still have it and the sounds are really great that it makes.

I will be posting more finds again soon. I do not like digging in grassy areas in city parks and school yards. Doing so can get one in trouble real fast. So I usually hunt near the swing sets and monkey bars. When I dowse coins and other things considered valuable, I will post them in the today's finds so not just dowsers and friends see it, others will see them too.

Here you go Les. The one that gave me much trouble finding.

Great. My time is coming. I just have to keep on keeping on. So, in the mean time I will post what I find, junk and all while dowsing. Using my electric metal detector I find junk too. On that point there is no difference.

Ok...The next time that happens I want you to go back to the original spot where you got the first reading. Put a marker down and walk way from it in the direction you were first going. Mark any signals you get for about 100 feet. Compare the distance between the markers and et me know...Art

Thanks Art, Hey, those nuggets look real tasty.

Hey Art! I have been looking at some of your posts and I just want to say that I enjoy reading them. It is nice to see people that master a craft or process and pass on their knowledge to others.

Quick question...I read in one of your posts about making rods - what about purchasing them? Any recommendations?

I have never used anything but home made rods...I know people who do well with store bought rods
