Attention 4x4x4; I just used the worthless Google Image search and these are the results. It also tells me its a circle. https://www.google.com/search?tbs=s...F32MKHUWOAHkQsw4INQ&biw=1344&bih=736&dpr=1.25

I searched the Waterbury Button Co site and there are similar deer buttons but no exact match. Waterbury Button - Uniform Buttons, Fashion Buttons, Metal Buttons, Brass Buttons. Collectibles - Civil War Buttons, Titanic, Blazer Button Sets. - Waterbury Button

The photo is very dark because of the white background but I think its a 2 piece button with steel back that rusted off. That would mean mid-20th century. Probably a hunt club button.

I took the liberty of enhancing your photos slightly. Hope it helps.

thanks for the info @bigcypresshunter , 1940-50's sounds spot on for the button, same as other items I've found in the area.
