Had a great day today with TNT2000 and MarkGPa and myself back at the defunct amusement park. This place has been pounded by many detectors over the last 20+ years. The finds are getting harder to come by, but somehow we usualy come out with a few coins or relics. I was really happy to see the condition of this 1917 variety 2 standing liberty quarter, the 1889 IH was not bad either and a 1916 wheaty added to the fun. The little brass padlock seems like it would still work if I found the key to go with it. It also has the Pennsylvania Emblem on both sides.
Thanks for looking.
Ken

congrats on your finds, and great pics !

Nice SL. Ive found about 15 over the past 20 years and 75 % have had no date. Those old amuusement parks always give up something, no matter how worked out you may think they are.

Great job on the coins and the lock Ken. Some nice finds you got there on a worked over spot.
Congrats,

That sure is a nice SLQ. I had a great day too, and thanks for motoring us over there. I'lll be thinking about you on Wed.

That's a great SL quarter! The dates on those types of quarters (and the 5-cent Buffalos) would would wear off quite quickly because they were above rim level. Great finds!
