The Dent's Run Gold of the Civil War was one of those stories made up for magazines for $65. or less. There was no gold lost to be found purely in the mind of an author during the 1970's and there were a lot of stories for little cash and no gold.

Dent's Run Gold has nothing to do with the KGC. Why is it even on this thread? There was no treasure at Dent's Run to begin with and if there were I wish someone would produce documents or letters to confirm the shipment of gold by a bunch of worn out soldiers. Payrolls or gold shipments were carried out by well trained personal. A shipment that large would have had at least an officer of the rank of a Major and at least 2 squads of soldiers for escort and protection. Read their paymasters vouchers. I have a copy of the by-laws of the paymaster division.

I don't think it has even been established that the soldiers named in this tale actually existed. This tale first comes up in a treasure magazine like Franklin says. It was most likely made up to sell copies of that magazine.

I Don't think there is anything Cryptic there.
But since your either Pretending or truly lost

it means your post suggesting the army has a set way of doing things and never waver is either idiotic of them,
or simply doesn't apply to a covert shipment. what would you have expected in the 1860's ?
a Headline in the Paper announcing a secret shipment and Map of the Route, and a Parade following ?

Word is though the FBI Swore under oath after research they had reason to Believe the Gold was there,
and used fear the State would steal it first, in order to get the Permission to Dig.

The Video posted does not support any consensus that there is or was a treasure at Dent's Run, PA. At least four times the narrator explains that it is "Imaginary Gold" at 4:17, 4:42, 5:09 & 6:01. Then he mentions the FBI separated the "Experts" from "Treasure Hunters" meaning the treasure hunters are not experts. Then he gets into legal mumbo jumbo without documented "True Treasure Laws" You yourself can contact the GSA "Governmental Services Administration and obtain the laws concerning Treasure Trove. The laws are quite explicit. If you find "USA Government Gold" on "USA Government Property" you will not get any treasure but you will get 50% of the monetary value of any found gold. Now artifacts that could be historical are claimed 100% by the USA Government. Now comes the GSA Laws concerning gold or treasure found on other properties other than USA Government Properties. First and foremost the gold belongs to the USA Government because it never surrenders any of the property of the USA Government to anyone. Military ships, war ordnance or anything concerning the military is claimed 100% by the US Government so long as the government exist. It is the same with all countries. Like the Treasure Salvors that found the large shiploads of Spanish Gold and Silver. When the proper channels are not gone through the treasure salvors lose everything 100% as it is the same as stealing if you do not follow the rules of law. All I can say is the FBI should not have gotten involved in a treasure hunt that was not based on facts, always go by the F-A-C-T-S. And the facts are there was never any Union Civil War Gold at Dent's Run, PA.

Just my two cents but I don't believe the Dent's Run story. My Grandad told me that in the early 1900's there was a magazine article about a Military Gold Shipment that was stolen as the pay officer and troops crossed Tebo (pronounced Tea Bow) Creek at the Military Crossing, south of Calhoun,MO..
There is about a half mile of bluffs along Tebo Creek near the crossing and Grandad told of people running up and down the bluffs in search of the gold when he was a kid. Not sure if Indians (Feather not dot) or bandits were the stealers. I've never been able to find the story anywhere. I'm afraid Dent's Run is like the Tebo Crossing story. Good luck.

There has been over $200 Million Dollars wasted on Oak Island hunting for a treasure. The worst they do not even know what treasure they are hunting for yet millions of dollars have been wasted without doing the research first. Other people are trying to milk the film industry for show time of searching for non-existent treasures. Such as at New Ross, Nova Scotia and Dent's Run. The New Ross treasure was recovered in 1770 and the Dent's Run treasure never existed except in the mind of a writer in the 1970's. If you believe different show me the proof? There is no proof because it did not happen.

I however have hundreds of tons of gold to recover and no investors and no television. Can't figure.

Why do you keep posting this claim, it is untrue and how legends grow ripe with mis-information. The treasure hunter group and their attorney even publicly stated that the FBI agreed to turn over the file upon receiving the Right to Know request for the file. As i recall, the treasure hunters group even posted up the letter they received from the FBI on this matter confirming as such.

The records department did ask that the file be streamlined and parsed down (as it contained 1000's of pages, videos and photos) and that if so, they could have it within 2 years (which means we'd now have at least some of it over a year ago if that had been done and personally, i would have bulls eyed my request for all videos from the scene, but thats just me) That request by the records department to streamline the request was declined by the treasure hunters at that time and they apparently stuck with their original request for the entire file, i say apparently because i am not privy to whether they withdrew their request or if it is still pending. (obtaining the entire file may be quite costly).
