Any comments on the Detect-Ed Red Belly LS Carbon Fiber Upper & Lower Shaft for the Minelab Equinox 800? Doesn't seem like a ton of weight improvement but maybe more rigid?"
I JUST installed mine about 20 minutes ago.
So far, yes it is nice and solid. No wobble at all. I fell like I can tell a difference in weight. The cam lock is my favorite feature.
Will be hunting with it this weekend for the first time.

I’ve had mine for a year now, no complaints

Without doubt, Detect Ed Shafts are the best available!!

Here's mice.

Matt, you sure have decked your machine out with all the after market goodies. I may get the coil ear stabilizer, think I’ll wait for now, if I break one while under warranty I’ll get a stabilizer for the new coil. I really like the detect-Ed shafts though

I've had the Detect-Ed Red Belly Upper & Lower for more than a year and I can honestly say I like everything about it. The cam lock is solid, no wobble, there may be a slight improvement in weight but thats not why I bought it......I wanted the improved collapsibility over the stock shaft. Why Minelab engineers can't figure out that the consumer market wants a machine that collapses......like the DEUS is beyond me. Great product.
