Can anyone help with a date on this little bell? I see no stamps or markings aside of the faint daisy pedal design on the bottom. Unsure of the composition material?
The pea is iron inside and it still rings!
Found in eastern Pennsylvania, USA

Possibly 1845-1920. ClassicBells.com is a great website for sleigh bell info.

Nice one!

Congratulations on your 1st Crotal bell.
It's one recovery that we can clean up, shake it and it comes alive with a jingle.
Not too many relics stand the test of time like that for hundreds of years.
