Detecting Franklin Co./Frankfort

Maybe you can find some of my fishing lures along Elkhorn Creek. :o

I don't know where Peaks Mill is though. Sorry.

Hey rider, are your lures made of wood?! ;D Ah, you're not that old!

Thanks Alpha

Only the hooks are wood. The lures are airbrushed greenbeans. Real lively.

So I just went up that way and spent two days - and got nothing but skunked.

There was a MASSIVE flood there about 10 yrs ago and it wiped the place clean.

So sad....

Floods give and take away! Should be some new relics left behind! Usually of the aluminum variety :cussing:

I have detected around Elkhorn Creek in Scott County by Great Crossings Park and found my first silver. Mercury Dime. I also found lots of sinkers, bottle caps and pulltabs and some rifle lead. Not much luck but I do go out there every once in a while since they had that Indian School there back in the day. Hoping to find something interesting there and the dam that was built there was built in 1941 I think. From what I read is that was the shallowest area of Elkhorn and many people and buffalo crossed there.
