Plz tell me, I'm travelling to San Francisco in August and want to know if China Beach or
any of their beaches have restrictions on Metal Detecting.

Find out if it's within the range/domain of the "Golden Gate National Recreation" district. If it is, then yes, it's *supposedly* off-limits. ::)

I used to live a block from China Beach. Never detected there but I'm gonna say just do it.
That beach is so laid back and tiny that you wouldnt be there THAT long anyway. Not to mention all the trash that's usually washed up. :tongue3:

It sounds like China Beach is not so desireable. Are there others that you might suggest?

PM me off-line. I can tell you a nice little pocket beach that gives up silver coins anytime I'm up that way. It's sort of iffy, as you never know if the sand is "in or out" till you get there. But you can give it a try.

Golden Gate park is OK, done it got old silver. Ocean Beach ist Verboten, they will be on you in a heart beat. Presidio is good got some silver and military goodies there. Good Luck
