I am thinking of buying the pistol probe on sale at colonial metal detectors is it any good?

I have one. It has very good sensitivity which is adjustable, and the best part is it will detect off the sides of the pointer. The downside is the handle. Looks like a gun and I have been checked by the police twice!. I finally put some 3M reflecto tape around the barrel to try to make it look different. In the long run I still prefer my Garrett Carrot.

It's "pulse induction"

Very deep, maybe the deepest, but the pulse induction makes most VLFs in near proximity go nuts when the pinpointer is turned on.

Honestly get a garrett carrot or I am enjoying my Nokta Pointer. It comes with nice case and accessories. has 2 snap on covers and works awesome. it is only 84.00 on amazon.

Buy a Garrett Pin Pointer, they are very good in IMHO.
