Thinking about getting one to drop in a pack during hikes along some streams this summer.
I've spent more on possibly less worthwhile ventures just curious if folks like this model over the Vibra Probe 730/750.

Hi guys
Seems like I got the same problem, just submerged for test my brand new tector into sink then seen 2 small bubbles

and got the same crazy, finally since turn on that alarmed a few minutes then works abit, around minute, then increase sensitivity so much.
I asked official support help me to reset it and here is an answer how to:

Please try to process according to the following steps and check if the detector can resume normal:
Power on the detector----Detector keeps alarming----Then power off and keep pressing the button-----Remove your finger after all the lights on--Two beeps indicating the adjustment successful. Please make sure no metal objects around when power on.

After that it works normal most of time, if it starts to be so sensitive again or alarms fake signal I just turn it off/on.
Of course they asked me send it back but from my place now it's so expensive... cheaper to buy new one.

Also I protected coil by piece of hose and plastic bottle

Thanks for posting the reset function instructions! I had to do the reset on mine (constant alarm) and now it works great!

I have been looking at one of these, but it seems like about 50% of people that buy them have issues with constant beeping and dealing with reset issues and sending back for warranty. Hopefully they can get some bugs worked out. Looks like it would be a great little detector otherwise.

I just got a couple of them, even though I heard they are not good at finding gold. I am going to try it out in the Bahamas next week. Sold by Quest now. I may use some flex seal on them or duct tape for extra insurance against leaks.
