Hello again to you all!
Another beautiful Michigan day, got out and hit two schools that I have never hunted. Yep, two diamond rings today. More about that later. Got some more goodies too, happy days!!
I took the old trustie Garrett TR out to cover school playground woodchips. The first school had a lot of play areas, structures, swings, and slides. I was getting quite a few signals and lots of coins and jewelry, a pouch full. Around one of the play structures I found a sweet earring hallmarked 925 and it was 15 CZ stones. Nice start. While I was walking between one of the woodchip areas, I always keep the detector scanning, I hit a nice pocket spill. So I was digging the coins out of the grass and then scanning around that area making sure I had found all the coins and on one of the signals, a sweet 10kt gold ring popped out. It's a kids ring, pretty small and has 3 diamond chips in it too. YES!! Gold! Dumb luck huh. I covered all the woodchip areas and had no more keepers so I drove to the next school.
At this school, there were only a few play areas as it was under construction on half the playground. In the first area, a set of swings, I dug a sweet earring. It's a double CC design with lots of white stones. I though it was a Coach earring and my 16 year old daughter is totally into Coach purses and everything so I was pumped. After I showed it to her she clued me in, it's a Chanel earring. I looked it up on eBay and a pair of them are selling for $250 to $350! It's gold plated over sterling. I moved on and covered the rest of the areas. During that time, I found a pair of Sterling hoop earings cinched together. A rare find, a "Pair" of earrings. The very last area was a set of swings, directly under the second the last swing, a sweet sight, out pops a diamond solitare ring, whoohoo! Also, right on top of it, actually touching the ring was a junk trinket earring. What are the chances, both things being lost in the same square inch. The diamond is not huge, but a nice little stone measuring 3mm across and sparkles big time. The ring is 18kt and very dainty, definitely a womens ring, about size 7.
What a great day it was. 4 hours search time total, $7.05 total clad, 157 coins, a lot of pennies. I found a lot of trinket jewelry. A nice little Turtle bracelet, 4 other junk rings, 9 junk pendants, and 4 other junk earrings. My back is feeling better too this weekend so I took all my treasures and headed home. There are 4 more schools in that area to hit, but there is always another day.
Here's some photos of today's finds. Thanks for reading and best of luck to you all! HH!!
