did i find a meteorite?

While i was biking in the city i spotted this rusty object in one of the public gardens along the road. It look very old and very weathered and feels heavy in the hand. To my surprise at home a magnet stuck to it. On the darker clean areas you can see metallic like particles in the sunlight. So could it be a meteorite?

yes but is it from earth or from space? should i file window in it? just filed a window in it. it is not soft and has no solid iron in it but metal flecks in a stony matrix. And the same metal flecks are visible on the broken surfaces.

update, the neighbour cut a piece off it and there is solid metal in it. It was very hard he said and the metal has a fine grained craquele matrix?? and two little voids filled with brown mineral, but not round more jagged.

Again, it looks like a chunk of crusty, rusty iron. I'm sorry if you don't like
that, but it is what it appears to be in my judgment.
