Didn't Find Much...But Had a BLAST!

Got out today with ZodiacDiverDave and Rick to try a deserted island in a very historic waterway. We had to contend with the tides so we had time against us but we still had about 3-4 hours to detect. We could on;y hunt the beaches because it was too overgrown. I found the iron plate off an old wood stove and the mystery token/button/whatever. Even though the finds weren't there we had a blast getting there and exploring the coast lines.

After I was dropped off I stll had a couple hours so I ht a field and pulled the finial. After that I decided to try a creek in the area and found another mystery piece. I also fully submerged my F-75 when I lost my footing. It stopped working and then it started again! Fingers crossed I didn't fry it completely!

Neat finds... What kind of critter does that appear to be to you on the square piece? Kind of looks like a beaver's body with a bird head...? Anyway hope your MD is ok... Brad

Just an f'ed up looking beaver! Detector appears to be fine...miracle!

It's not about the finds sometimes , sometimes its about eliminating places that you've always considered as a possible sites , when those are eliminated only the good sites are left!

Very true...but we'll be making one more trip out there in the fall for another crack at the interior.

Sounds like there's potential there for a future dig...The Girl Scout pin is a little out of place and a bit creepy as where you found it...
Looking at getting a boat at some point too for opening up further digging avenues...
