The Mexican 1 Peso is .100 silver---low purity. Worth about $1.00.
The Chinese coin is a better piece. I'm not 100% sure but looks like a "dollar" from the early 1900's. It's silver, 90%. Probably worth between $20-$50 depending on condition.

You have to be careful with those Chinese coins. There are a lot of fakes going around.Really hard to tell if they are silver or not.I have some but I think mine are all fake.Anybody know how to tell the difference?

Chinese fakes are usually rare dates or popular bullion coins. I bought a fake
chinese made "silver" eagle for a quarter. It looked good BUT it was made of cheap stainless and was magnetic. To make it even more obvious the date was 1900 but
the type was the current silver eagle. Try a magnet on any suspect silver coins. In recent ebay sales the chinese were not only selling fake trade dollars they had made every date and mint mark and were selling them in a counterfeit
Whitman Album. Prefectly legal since they were calling them fake. The guy was selling ten complete sets for a $30 starting price and shipping. siegfried schlagrule
