Different buttons today

Got out for a while today and found a few things. The button in question looks cast but is not brass or tombac. I've dug a lot of buttons but this is the first like this. The smaller one has a hole in the face also strange. Good luck to all. Art

very cool finds. we both found harmonica reeds today. always a good indicator something old will be around and to keep hunting. i am going back tom and doing a grid. one 1908 v nickle, thus there must be more coins of at least that age around there. something SILVER hopefully.

Most likely Civilian, but I can't completely rule out a military use.
