[The Beep Goes On]

Has anyone ever filled the handle of their scoop with construction foam? It's air and water tight...it would seal out pretty much everything. You would never have water accumulation in the handle and it might reduce corrosion and sand buildup too.

Any Thoughts?

I have not used the undercoating on my coils, but I did apply J B WELD on my CZ20 coil. It did the job very well when it hardens. But the CZ coil is a different material from the rest of my coils.
BUT if the material applied is not metalic, Why not? HH Gayle

I like the bedliner material idea. I used a jar of the PlastiDip and it worked well for a while.
I've tried the foam for various similar applications and it had its pros and cons. It helps things float-best part but, it does eventually soak up water, salt, and grit and then it sits on the metal vs. washes away with a rinse (my favorite cure). Sealing the ends is likely the most crucial aspect of preventing corrosion with or without the foam.
Everything eventually succumbs to the salt, just look at the "stainless" parts of your boat.

Titanium shaft for the super fix, eh?
